Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD)
TMD is a group of conditions affecting the temporomandibular joints and masticatory muscles.
Different kinds of interocclusal appliances have been used for the treatment of, for example, bruxism and TMD. The most commonly used appliances are the stabilization appliance, made in hard acrylic, and the soft/resilient appliance.
